Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which BillBook.in processes cancellations and refunds for subscription plans. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing a subscription.

1. Subscription Plans

BillBook.in offers cloud-based billing and inventory management software on a subscription basis. Subscriptions are available on monthly and annual billing cycles. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fee in advance.

2. Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a free trial period before committing to a paid subscription. No payment is collected during the free trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the service. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trial offers at any time without prior notice.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by writing to us at support@billbook.in.
  • Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent billing cycles.
  • Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period already paid.
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the next cycle.

4. Refund Eligibility

We offer refunds under the following circumstances:

  • Accidental duplicate payment: If you are charged more than once for the same subscription due to a technical error, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.
  • Service unavailability: If BillBook.in experiences prolonged and verified downtime (exceeding 72 continuous hours) due to issues on our end, you may be eligible for a pro-rated refund or account credit for the affected period.
  • Annual plan — early cancellation: If you have subscribed to an annual plan and wish to cancel within 7 days of the initial purchase (and have not used the service substantially), you may request a full refund. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after 7 days of purchase.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Cancellation of a monthly subscription at any point during the active billing period.
  • Cancellation of an annual subscription after 7 days from the date of purchase.
  • Partial use of a subscription — no pro-rated refunds are provided for unused days within a billing period.
  • Dissatisfaction with features that were accurately described before purchase. We recommend using the free trial to evaluate the service before subscribing.
  • Failure to use the service during the subscription period.
  • Violation of our Terms of Service resulting in account suspension or termination.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us within the eligible timeframe:

  • Email: support@billbook.in
  • Subject: Refund Request — [Your Registered Email / Order ID]
  • Include your order number, reason for the refund request, and any relevant details.

We will review your request and respond within 5–7 business days. Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 7–10 business days, subject to your bank's processing time.

7. Payment Gateway

All payments are processed securely via Razorpay. BillBook.in does not store your credit/debit card or bank account details. Refunds are initiated through Razorpay and credited to the original payment source. Razorpay's own refund processing timelines may apply.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
